Lansing Catholic Central High School reserves the
right to accept or reject any student for academic, disciplinary, social
or psychological reasons. Successful completion of the eighth grade is a
requirement for admission. Students from special schools, or with special
needs, will be considered on an individual basis, and may be admitted,
after a careful study of relevant information, at the sole discretion of
the administration. A priority of our school is to maintain a safe and
orderly educational environment, which is conducive to the fulfillment of
the mission and values of our school. No student who, in the sole
determination of the school administration, poses a risk to the safety of
other students or to the spiritual, educational or social environment of
the school, will be admitted or allowed to remain in attendance.
Students must be living with a parent or guardian
while attending Lansing Catholic Central High School.

Registration - Transfer Students
Students interested in transferring to
Lansing Catholic Central High School are encouraged to apply for
admission. Students should enroll within the first week of any
academic quarter, but exceptions may be made at the sole discretion of the
school administration. Decisions regarding admission are made
following a review of the student's full academic, attendance, and
disciplinary record from their previous school. This
includes appropriate credentials (transcript of credits and/or report
cards). Falsification or withholding of documents, records, etc.,
and/or concealment of serious problems are grounds for immediate
dismissal. Lansing Catholic Central High School, at its sole
discretion, may require recommendations or information as a condition for
admission, including reports from school administrators or counselors,
social service providers, physicians, or legal authorities.
Admission of transfer students is subject to an entrance interview with
the student and the student's family by the principal, or his designee,
and is also subject to the approval of the Principal.
Lansing Catholic Central High School
shall not admit any student expelled from any school, pursuant to P.A.
#328 (pertaining to weapons possession, rape and arson), and shall refuse
admission to any student who has committed a weapons offense or an assault
(including sexual assault), or who has delivered controlled
substances. A criminal conviction or juvenile adjudication confirms
that an offense has occurred, but Lansing Catholic Central High School is
not limited to formal convictions or adjudication in determining whether
an offense has occurred.
As a general rule, Lansing Catholic
Central High School will not admit any student who has been expelled from
any other school, or who has committed criminal acts, including the use or
possession of controlled substances. The school administration
reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review and consider any
circumstances which might support admission, and may impose appropriate
conditions in concert with admission.
All admitted transfer students are
placed on probation for one year. Probation includes monitoring of
the student by school counselors, and may require the student to execute
and comply with a behavioral contract and treatment and reports from
school service providers.
