This page consists of links to web sites that will help students find the information that they need.  This page has links to online encyclopedias, online libraries, periodical resources, research project guides, and search engines.  All of these sites have been approved and are considered credible sources for research.


    Research Papers and Projects

     Research Project :  This is a Librarian's index to the internet for links to credible sources of information.

     Fill-in-the-Blank :  Bibliographic citations:  Using MLA bibliographic format, this page allows you to generate a citation by filling in the blanks in the form.

     Bibliographic Style :  The Library produced set of formulas and samples based on the MLA handbook with some modifications.

Databases: The source for credible information

     REMC 13 : Select REMC Online   Select REMC Members only databases   Id and password available in the school library: Provides access to: SIRS Discover on the Web, Electric Library Elementary, Proquest magazines, Info Trac collection of 19 databases of magazine and newspaper articles and Reference books.

     Michigan Electronic Library : The Michigan eLibrary (MeL)  is an anywhere, anytime information gateway to selected Internet resources, hundreds of full-text magazines and newspapers and over 10,000 electronic books.

Theology

     The Catholic Encyclopedia Online :  at this site you can search the Catholic Encyclopedia first by subject letter, then by topic.  This is the 1908 edition  of the set in the Reference Collection in our library and used by students in Theology classes for the Catholic Perspective on issues.

     Doctors of the Catholic Church :  This site could be useful to students in Mr. Moore's Theology classes.

     Saints :  This site contains information about, and pictures of, the many recognized saints of the Catholic Church.

     
 
   Students can access Infotrac, ProQuest and SIRS from their home computers using the directions provided in Parent Newsletters.  This information is also available in the Library Media Center.
